She wears a white dress and is known by many names: the Ghostly Hitchhiker. The Phantom Prom Date. The Woman in White. She may accept a ride, but she disappears before she ever reaches her destination.

Is she an apparition? A memory? Or something beyond our understanding? Five authors offer their speculations on her story – of love, loss, and redemption.

We debated on many subjects for our third collection. Being stuck home, isolated during COVID-19 may have colored our decision. All of the the world there are stories of Vanishing Hitchhikers and Ladies in White, and alone with them come themes of loneliness and grief.

The five stories offered in our upcoming anthology are some of the best I’ve read, and our cover, once again designed by Adam Allingham, using original work by Patricia Carlson, captures the mood perfectly.
So, without too much more hype, or maybe because I can’t come up with a clever transition, here it is!

So watch the roads, and our twitter feeds, because this book is creeping up behind you, and will be available in Early October, making it a perfect Spooky Season read.
