Lots of News on the Way

They say when it rains it pours but my goodness.

Last year at this time I suffered a professional blow that rocked me. I tried to push onward and really put my work out there but I hit wall after wall and by spring I settled back to just focus on Speculation Publications.

The first bit of news is that we’ll be revealing our gorgeous new cover for YULE tomorrow. It is designed from my own original watercolor and I’m a little nervous to reveal it to the world, but I think it captures the spirit of this stunning little book of winter solstice stories and magic.

The second piece of news you already know. I will be releasing my horror novella early next year and have already talked to some awesome horror authors about blurbs and reviews. As soon as I have final edits in place, I will be revealing the title and what it’s all about (hint art history, bog witches, men behaving badly)

Third, Speculation Publications is open to novella submissions for our Utter Speculation series. We are looked for the kind of stories we would do a collection of utter speculation about, except as a novella. Bermuda Triangle, Yeti, The Davlof Pass, Vlad Dracula. Give us your speculative stories about what’s behind these enduring mysteries.

The fourth piece was quite unexpected and I hope to share with you later today! That’s all I can say for now.

Lastly, the biggest piece of news isn’t settled yet, so it will take me a little bit of time to get it to you, but I think it will be worth the wait.
