Book Recs if you liked MUSE

If you’ve read my little book of art horror, maybe you’re looking for some more reading along those lines. All of these books are ones I’ve enjoy that share a theme, idea, or vein with MUSE. Some of short novellas, like Sour Candy and Goddess of Filth, and some are very long like Night Film, but they’re all books I have read and enjoyed and recommend to you.

V. Castro : Goddess of Filth

Feminine Power, Friendship and absolute chaos.

Oscar Wilde: The Picture of Dorian Gray

This Classic tale of Art Horror.

Rin Chupeco: The Girl from the Well

A horrific monster of Japanese Folklore finds a kindred spirit in need of her help.

Rachel Harrison: The Returned

Four besties meet for a girls weekend to reconnect after a trauma, but something is very wrong.

Kealan Patrick Burke: Sour Candy

This book is uncomfortable and if you’re on the fence about having children, maybe hold off for now.

Marisha Pessl: Night Film

What is the price of genius? Is it worth your soul? What about the soul of your only child?

T. Kingfisher: House with Good Bones

A seemingly ordinary visit turns into a deep dive into dark family secrets and opening the door to unspeakable horror.

So there you go. Try out any of these books to keep the creeps coming. I’d love to know if you have any books you would add to this list?

And if you haven’t read MUSE yet, what are you waiting for? It’s only 3.99 on amazon and available pretty everywhere else too.
