First Book Birthday

Tomorrow is the one year birthday of MUSE, my horror novella about art, exploitation and inspiration. It’s been an interesting journey watching my first book go through it’s first year. Seeing who picked it up, how it resonated with different readers.

Tomorrow to celebrate I’m sharing a bonus chapter of MUSE. It is not horror or dark fantasy, but more of a peak into the lives of some characters who were left at loose ends.

Today I wanted to just share a few highlights of the last year of MUSE.

Some of my favorite reviews

“I sat down to read Muse and didn’t look up until it was finished. That hadn’t been the plan—I thought I’d get it started while I ate lunch. I just never stopped reading it.” – Hope Madden, Author, Podcaster, Filmmaker

“I found Muse to be a fascinating little book, stylishly written and with a sly humor to go along with its more macabre scenes. It won’t be for everyone though- it packs a significant amount of graphic body horror, drug use, and sexuality in under 100 pages. It’s definitely a story for adults. But I highly recommend it for those who want to read a smart, sophisticated horror story set in an elegant, cosmopolitan world.” – Nick Bruner, Author of The Last Days of Atlantis series

“Every now and then I come across a book that I just like the cover and go into it blind, well I was not disappointed at all by this read.” – Reviewer

“Holy hells. This book had me feeling all the feels. I could not put it down. I wanted this story to go on, but it is so perfectly told that I’m filled with a feeling of peace and satisfaction at its completion.” – Reviewer

And lastly here is a link to this awesome interview I did with Jessica Rydill about MUSE

It has been rewarding beyond belief seeing my own book baby creep out into the world, and this is just the beginning. I will have some news about a new creepy release in the next few months.

In the mean time, I hope you check in tomorrow to read a little more about Garret Green.
