Queer Sci-Fi, part of Other World Lit, did me the huge favor of announcing the release of MUSE and posting an excerpt to go with it. This is the intro scene to Cedric Fleck, a main character in MUSE. Cedric is a queer artist, in a relationship with one of the associates, Bernard Black. While Cedric is a rising star, he’s quickly gotten himself wrapped up in some of the more toxic behaviors of the art scene.
