The last month has been BUSY and although I really wanted to keep up the momentum of posting every week, I just ran out of steam by the time I got here, but it’s all very good things.
The Muse Release Party was a blast. I have pictures down below. Thank you so much to everyone who came out to celebrate with me. I loved meeting new readers! And I will be posting a follow up of the MUSE group art piece as soon as I get that steam back.
Speculation Publications received almost 300 submissions for our GRIMM RETOLD anthology and River Eno and I narrowed it down to just twenty. We passed over some really stunning stories but the ones we have selected, together, make a book that I am somewhat blown away by. This collection is so gorgeous and so dark, I’m not sure what else to say about it. We’re going to be rolling out some big news about it this month, and later in the summer so stay tuned and keep an eye on the new Speculation Publications Blog.
River Eno and I spent a day at the Quakertown Arts Alive Spring Arts Festival, as we’ve done for several years now. We ultimately got rained out, but we had a blast meeting other authors and talking to festival goers and readers until then.
LADY is on her way. My publisher Mirror World posted a teaser a few weeks ago with the first description of what my historical fiction novel is about. You can look for it on their Facebook page. And of course, I will be posting more here when I get that steam back.
and speaking of historical fiction, I was invited to participate in a panel last thursday, on that very subject by Neshaminy Literary Magazine and the Doylestown Historical Society. Author and Neshaminy Editor William Donahue moderated a lively discussion between Melissa D Sullivan, Natalie Zellat Dyen and myself about the relevance of historical fiction, the ways the characters come to life and how much we love to talk about research (alot.)
I also am now lined up to be at quite a few events coming up, with River Eno and Spec Pub, starting with Horror on Main, at the end of this month in Harrisburg. There’s also the C3 conference in September, the World Fantasy Convention in October, and a few other fun things that are still in the works.
I will have a lot more news soon on a number of new things, but in the mean time, take care, keep reading and here are some photos from the party.
